30/09/2021 - Changes to School Start/Finish times and Entrance/Exit points

30 September 2021 (by admin)

Please click on the link above to view the changes to school timings and entrance/exit points. This will be introduced from Monday 4th October. Details of this has also been sent to parents on ParentPay and Class Dojo.

Due to Covid 19 the school has been operating a staggered entry and exit at drop off and pick up times to allow for social distancing as much as possible for parents, children and staff.

From Monday 4th October 2021 we will be returning to our normal school times:

All Year groups will come onto the site using the Catherine Street and Martin Street Gates.

The Ulverscroft Road entrance will now only be for parents wishing to speak to the office or for children who are late in to school.

The gates will be unlocked at 8.40am.

Please bring your child onto the site and form an orderly queue outside your child’s classroom door. No children are to be left unaccompanied in the playground.

Your child can show you where their room is, but there will also be staff outside to help you.

Classroom doors will be opened at 8.45am prompt and lessons will begin.

The gates will be locked at 8.55am. After this time if your child is late please bring them to the office via the Ulverscroft Road entrance.

In the afternoon, the gates will be unlocked at 3.10pm.

Please wait in an orderly queue outside your child’s classroom door. We respectfully ask you not to peer in the classroom windows or knock and wave at your child. Teachers and children are still concentrating on their learning.

At 3.15pm the class teacher or TA will call the children one at a time to ensure they are returned to you safely. Please don’t call your child out of school, even if you are in a hurry – we need to make sure all children have a responsible known adult to collect them.

Please help us to keep everyone as safe as possible by wearing a mask on site at all times. Socially distance as much as possible. If you wish to talk to the class teacher, please do this after school. The morning is a very busy time for everyone.

It will take a few days for everyone to get used to this.  Please be patient and work with staff to help this run smoothly for everyone. Staff will be in the playground on Monday to help out and show where you need to go.

Yours sincerely

Mrs J Harrold
